Cross-Country Shows up Strong at Nationals

The women's cross-country team's dedication and hard work cumulated this past Saturday when they competed at the NJCAA Cross Country National Meet at Finger Lakes Community College.  116 runners from 31 community colleges from across the nation participated.  After the annual runner's banquet Friday night (where everyone are friends before becoming competitors one last time) and a good night's sleep, the Twins were ready to take on the 5k course Saturday morning.  Both runners once again ran personal best times for their last meet of the season.   Freshman Taylor Olmsted came in 80th and ran a personal best time of 25:47 in the national meet. Fellow Freshman Sabrina Maynard came in 104th, also running a personal best with a time of 28:52.  "The ladies had a blast!," states head coach John Pinder.  "Taylor and Sabrina gave it their all every single race."  Although the season is now over, Pinder is already planning on bigger and better achievements for his runners next season.  We congratulate the team and coach Pinder on a very successful cross country season.
