Bowling Shows Improvement In Second Match

The Columbia-Greene bowling team was eager to get back on the lanes after placing sixth in the season opener on Tuesday.  C-GCC hosted their only home six-team match of the season, yesterday at Catskill Lanes.

The Twins would not only improve in the standings, placing fifth but also improved their total pinfall by more than 100 pins from the previous day with 3,021.  Justin Porreca bowled a 268 high game with a 683 triple, Cory Sutherland had a 258-624 and Garrett Blenner added a 203-590.

Head coach Tracy Nytransky has full confidence in her squad as she stated "We are more than skilled enough to be able to pull off an upset on some of these bigger schools, and I think we will prove that moving on."

Columbia-Greene will travel to Westchester C.C. on Saturday to compete in the Blue & Orange Classic beginning at 9am.
