Bio

Skip Ingham enters his third year as Head Baseball Coach here at Columbia Greene. With COVID-19 impacting the program’s last two seasons, this will be his first full year at the helm leading the TWINS.

Coach Ingham came to Columbia Greene in 2012 as an Assistant Coach under Head Coach Josh Horn, who restarted the program after a five-year hiatus. In those first two years, Skip was in charge of recruiting, as well as handling the TWINS pitching staff. He helped guide the staff to its 14/11 conference record and an appearance in the conference playoffs.

The start of the 2014 season saw Coach Ingham become an Assistant Coach under the program’s Head Coach Nick Dyer.  Coach Ingham and Coach Dyer lead the TWINS together from 2014 to 2019 when Coach Dyer moved over to become the college’s Athletic Director.

For the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Coach Ingham took on the duties of Head Coach and assembled teams to prepare for the upcoming seasons.  These seasons were then canceled due to the pandemic.

Before arriving at Columbia Greene, Coach Ingham was an Assistant Coach with the Ichabod Crane High School baseball team, under Head Coaches Paul Thompson and Jack Brady.  In this position, he helped guide the pitching staff and the teams to three Class A section 2 titles from 2007 to 2010. Coach Ingham was also a pitching coach with the travel organization, the South Troy Dodgers, from 2006 to 2012.  He had the privilege of working with top quality pitchers within this organization, many of who were recruited into Division 1 collegiate programs and selected in the MLB draft.

Coach Ingham has taken on many different roles in his tenure as a coach at Columbia Greene. He has experience working with pitchers, hitters, infielders, outfielders, and catchers.  He also plays key roles with player/student recruitment and field maintenance. Taking on all these duties should prepare him well to lead the TWINS into the future.

Coach Ingham lives in Stockport with his wife, Karen, and his youngest son, Jason.  His oldest son, Joshua, works for the University of Saint Joseph and resides in Connecticut.
